Wilderness Systems Sealution XL is a large sea touring kayak, with a rudder and sufficient under watertight hatch storage to take anywhere with all the camping gear one might require. This is large volume kayak, for full size adult kayaker. If typical sea touring kayaks make you feel claustrophobic and you need to squeeze in uncomfortably this will be a wonder. The fitting of kayaks is an individual thing, you buy foam pieces to glue inside the cockpit to make the fit what you want, too small will always be too small. Large allows a lot more flexibility in outfitting.

I even have some spare foam pieces I will throw in to help if needed. Has a fairly new cockpit cover, the forward hatch had a Ritchey compass installed that needed to be replaced and I can tell you what model that the hatch cover takes. Also has a Garmin GPS mount ready for any of the handheld Garmin Marine GPS. A very very robust construction. Though it is used and has some signs of use most are superficial scratches on bottom of hull from beaching, no serious gouges from rocks.

This kayak is substantially more robust than any Current Designs kayak I have paddled using a very tough fiberglass weave. It is tough, I would imagine a kayak an explorer might take anywhere, it did very well in the Chesapeake Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding lakes and bays. Selling as retired and one kayak is enough. It is moderately fast, I liken it to an aircraft carrier compared to some smaller almost as fast frigates. Rudder is very effective at minimizing weathercocking.
