Wilderness Systems Shenai Fiberglass Kayak. 2001 model. Paddling this boat is like "stirring tea", and at 55 lbs, easy to load also! It's super narrow (22") and long (17'5") which is why it is such a delight to paddle. The cockpit is well-fitted for medium sized people (I am 5'8"- 150 lb female), so it responds with minimal effort: just a flick of the thigh and a turn is initiated.

It has plenty of scratches on the bottom that if they bother you, you can gel-coat over them. The skeg (not rudder) is put down and brought back up easily, but the cable and mechanism is not original. I rarely used the skeg because the boat handles better with proper paddling techniques. I chose this model because of the third hatch directly behind the cockpit which can be accessed without getting out of the kayak! BRAND NEW hatch covers!

They've never been in the sun. I bought them and haven't used the boat since.
