Cape Horn 17.5 Touring Kayak ,with Spraydeck And Free Dr Paddle.

Here is my Cape Horn 17.5 Touring Kayak ,with spraydeck and Free Dr D'S Paddle. OK, this is obviously an older boat but none the less still a very capable kayak. I think this one will outlive many of the new boats coming out at close to a thousand pounds, mind this boat would cost you alot more than a thousand pounds to buy a boat like this! It has great primary stability that only gets better as you load it and get into secondary . The boat is quite easy to roll, once you are used to her, and if you can roll a twelve foot boat you won't find any problem with this one .

This boat has a virtually full length keel that I recon is what has been responsible for the hull of the boat not 'oil canning' all these years . It is an old boat and has seen many sunny days and also has scratches and fading , commensurate with a few decades of giving a lot of fun to people. She is fitted with a decent rudder that is very effective ,I found it great for holding a true course in a following sea ! The paddle is quite heavy I would say but not bad and breaks down into two . The wheels do not come with the kayak sorry ,but are easily available .

It has a good quality spray-deck . The boat has two big spaces for storage with well sealed hatches . You can put stuff in with you of course as well . Look in front of the pedals ! Also behind the seat .

This is an ideal camping tourer . The small hatch is'nt cracked by the way ,it is a scuff . So if you want a cheap ,stable touring kayak or just something for fun ,this may be for you . This is Paypal with order or cash on collection from my home .... No couriers sorry .
