Pyranha S6, 190 Playboat, Lendal ‘Mania’ Paddle, Yak Neoprene Spray Deck and Yak Buoyancy Aid (S/M, 45 – 70 Kgs, 50N). This is a great boat that we have had for years but it’s time to say goodbye as everyone in the family has grown out of it. I’m selling it with a paddle, spray deck and good buoyancy aid so it could be a starter kit. For those from the kayaking community there is no need to explain about this boat or the specs which can be downloaded along with reviews. For those looking for a first very stable boat to paddle on a pond or in the sea this is a great start, but the S6 is not a big boat, so if you are over 5’ 8” (1.72m) tall or over 65 – 70kgs this boat is not for you as you will struggle to fit in it.

It’s perfect for a young adult 10 – 18 or a smaller adult. Although classed as a play boat it is fantastic for surfing waves and copes well with white water. It is not designed for long distance river paddling unless you feel like a good work out. The boat has been well used but is in good condition and is pretty much bomb proof, as it was built to last with thick HDP plastic. It has the surface scars and scratches of regular use and contact with rapid boulders and beach shingle and sand.

The cockpit back brace tensioners and quick release toggles all work and are regularly greased. The seat neoprene and heel pads are well worn from regular use. When not in use it has always been stored in a garage so no degradation due to sunlight. The paddle is in good condition with no blade damage. The spray deck has a small split and hole at the front (a result of boat to boat contact).

It could be glued and stitched but as it sits on the outside edge of the cockpit it does not let water in and has been like it for several years! If you live on the coast and want a boat for wave surfing this is the boat for you. It handles really well, is very stable and on a decent wave it is exhilarating.There is a possibility of delivery if you live south of Birmingham but cost would be additional to the purchase price and will only be discussed at the end of the auction.
