The fusion is possibly the best hybrid or crossover kayak out there , I have found that this shape works so well that they haven’t changed the underside of the design because it just works . So with the skeg up I can seal launch , slide over weirs , spin the boat quickly, then when I want to paddle a distance just drop that skeg from the cleat near the cockpit and off I go. Speed wise it can match most 11ft tourers. That’s why they call it a crossover because you can do light whitewater, especially as this is the connect version with full plate footrest , thighbraces, ratchet adjustable backrest. The oval hatch allows the Riber kayak trolley to be stored in the rear or a 40 litre drybag.
