The beauty of this kayak is in its light weight at only 19kg (42 pounds) plus 3.38m (11'1") long - I have found it easy to carry and transport on my own, when moving over locks, etc. A real bonus! Scratches and marks on the hull are in line with good use, and in no way affect the kayak's brilliant performance or looks. A superb, stable boat which is very easy to handle and has great stability and tracking in the water, both on inland waters and at sea.

I have used the Perception Sierra at sea and on fresh water, and the kayak has the expected superficial scratches, notably on the underside hull commensurate with this use.
