Perception Eclipse Sea Kayak, 17 Ft., 2002 Model, Made With Kevlar

If you are in themarket for a light-weight, sea worthy Kevlar kayak, then I won't have to tellyou all about Perception being one of the best and most recognizedmanufacturer, the boat is super-fast, sea worthy, capable on going week-longexpeditions, and is very maneuverable. Thisis a 2002 model year Perception Eclipse Sealion, 17 ft long with full Kevlarconstruction which tips the scale at 44lbs (per the manufacturer’sspecifications.) It is light enough for me to pick up and load it on the roofof my SUV (and I am a woman in my 50’s.) It has a SmartTrak rudder system. Theseat is comfortable with a cushioned back support. I was told that after 2002Perception changed from "pure Kevlar" to "composite" (compositeis heavier than pure Kevlar.) This boat has “Kevlar” on the hull – see pictures. This kayak has been well cared for and stored inside a heated garage.

It hasonly been used about 10-12 times. It has a few minor scrubs from floating logs andbeach stones, but, nothing major. This sale includes the Bending Brancheswooden paddle as shown in the pictures. The kayak is designed for the larger paddlers, with weight ofabout 140 to 220lbs. This weight range is an estimate, boat may handle well for larger or smaller paddlers, a lot depends on your height and skill level.
