Perception Carolina 14 Touring Kayak In Orange

Perception Carolina sit in kayak. Great touring kayak which is very nearly 15 feet in length. Two tone orange and yellow in colour.Large cockpit for easy entry/exit.Front and rear sealed bulkhead storage plus more storage space behind the seat.I have used this kayak for quick paddles, full day paddles and 3 day trips. Equally at home with all of the above.I have only paddled on rivers but I know people take these kayaks out on coastal waters and they are apparently just as at home there as they are on rivers and lakes.Adjustable foot pegs, thigh pads and a comfortable seat make this a great kayak for any distance journey. Using the thigh pads and foot pegs in conjunction with each other gives you a really solid feel and you know you are in total control of the kayak even if it gets windy.

All the space inside it enables you to take all your gear for a longer trip with you. Recently did a 3 day trip and had a single tent, sleeping bag, single burner stove, food, drink, cool bag, 2 litre bottles of water, clothes and a chair all inside without any problems. It still glided through the water with ease and no loss of control.Channels in the bottom and the sleek pointed front and rear means it cuts through the water with ease and keeps as straight as an arrow. It has the usual scratches on the bottom but this is purely superficial. All in all a great touring kayak and Perception is a top name in kayak manufacturing.I am 6 feet tall and was 95 kg (nearly 15 stone) when I bought it and I fit perfectly well inside.Collection only.
