Kayak Perception Acadia

KAYAK PERCEPTION ACADIA Welcome to my auction for my perception Acadia Kayak This is a great kayak for a person new to the sport and on abudget. The auction includes the Kayak, paddleand life jacket shown in the photos, any other accessories/items shown are not included in the sale. This is a tough (made from a heavy gaugeplastic) and extremely stable kayak. It comes with a life jacket and paddle, therefore it has all that is needed for the beginner to get started. I purchased it, second hand, about three years ago.

I am only selling it as I have now upgraded to a new model. Condition: I understand that this kayak dates from the late 1990's and therefore it is not new, there are lots of surface scratches and dinges as you would expect from a kayak of this age. There are also two tiny areasof damage to the underside of the hull, thesewere repaired before I owned the kayak, and I have not experienced any leaks! The fixings for the plastic seat back recently broke, I was unable to sourcea suitable replacement, therefore I have fixed it by permanentlysecuring the seatback in place with two small screwsI have also fitted a padded seat back to protect against the screw heads. Modifications: As well as the padded seat back, I have also added a padded seat for extra comfort.

I have also fitted the bungie cords and the rear hatch shown in the photographs, The hatch has an inner red bag ideal for storage of small items.
