Two spacious hatches are kept dry with neoprene underskirts reinforced by hard hatches over the top.This is a full-on touring/expedition sea kayak for the serious exerciser or adventurer..Although this kayak is very well used, it has a LOT of life left in it. . The seat back is worn down, but the bottom seat is as good as ever, and most paddlers prefer to choose and install their own aftermarket seat back or backband to suit their own comfort.. The large, spacious keyhole-style cockpit provides ample room for big feet and easy exit, as well as making it possible to alternate putting one of your legs out to air out or stretch your legs during a long paddle. And with a properly fitted spray skirt, the cockpit remains high and dry through roll after roll in the water, or when waves come crashing across the deck.This kayak was originally fitted with a rudder system; however, the rudder is gone. The rudder is not entirely unnecessary.
