.The double plastic layer design is great. It is self bailing -you can see the holes in the pics, so combine that with air layer between the 2 hull layers the buoyancy is excellent. If water splashes in it drains out.Due to use on gravelly beaches on Coniston and Windermere there are some deep scratches (see pics) - it was bought ex-hire from a local kayak centre. We tried it and loved its stable feel.Price reflects fair wear and does include decent sturdy seats plus 1 paddle. The seats will allow you to stay on the water longer and paddle better.

Generally rigid kayaks paddle better than inflatables and last longer and tolerate family use with no worrying about rocks and punctures.It has 2 screw-tight store"pots" for your keys and first -aid kit, but I always bag them.There is also 1 paddle included, as you can paddle it solo. The paddle is 2 section for easy transport.The kayak is 410cm long, 86.4cm wide and weighs a hefty 31kg, so you do need to 2 adults and appropriate canoe carrier+straps on your roof bars.
