Watersnake 18lb Intergrated 12v Motor For Hobie Mirage Kayak

This is an 18lb 12v Watersnake Motor which has been fitted through a Hobie Mirage Cartridge which slips directly in place of where you usually put your Mirage Peddle Drive. I made up and sold a substantial number of these over the past few years but then other things took over and I did not have time to continue with toiling them up any more. This one was at the back of my garage and I forgot that I had it. I have checked it over and tested it and all works fine. I used to sell these for circa £250.00 so I am starting this auction at £150.00 just to get back my initial outlay so grab yourself a bargain.

Do be aware, if intending to use in the open sea then speed will be heavily dependent on tide and the weight of the kayak you are using. In lakes, I have a Hobie Revolution 16 which are by no means a small Kayak and it can cruise at 3+ mph on the slow setting and up to 5mph on the top setting. In the open sea this would drop (depending on tide flow etc) to about 1 - 2mph on slow setting (ideal trolling speed) and this being against a moderate tide and up to +/- 3mph on top speed. So, if you are looking to speed along, please do not bid for this because it just wont do it. However, I had a number of customers buy these to troll lures (which works exceptionally well) and I had a lot also buy them for tandem kayaks so that they could still use the Mirage drive in the other.
