Vintage Two Person Klepper Aerius Classic Ii Folding Kayak

This is an older model Klepper Aerius 2 folding kayak. I bought it used 20 years ago. We refinished all of the wood frame parts and added keel strips to the hull and then painted it with a waterproof hypalon paint. It is fully operational but could use some TLC:1) a keel strip is coming off in one place (see photo) and could use regluing. 2) one of the air sponsons doesn't hold air well and should be replaced.

3) the stitching attaching the air sponsons to the hull is dissolving. I recommend replacing both with new stitching. 4) the hull is not completely dry. Over the course of a day of paddling some water gets in. A hypalon paint touch up would likely help, but it is also the reality of a 40-50 year old canvas hull.

5) the seat backs are missing. You can rig up a webbing seat back or find a used pair.We have used this boat in Alaska and locally. It's been amazing fun. We have purchased a newer boat and are ready to pass this on to someone ready to get into the klepper world.It comes with a padded Ogio snowboard bag witch holds all the long pieces, seat bottoms (including a third seat if you want a spot for a kid) and rudder assembly, and a lightweight nylon backpack that holds the skin and the 7 ribs.It also includes two, 2-piece wood paddles that also need some love. On one, the shaft broke near the attachment - I am not sure if that can be repaired.

On the other, the metal sleeve that mounted on the male side is stuck in the female side and no longer attached to the shaft. I suspect that can be finessed out and re-attached.
