Valley Nordkapp Classic 1978 Fibreglass Sea Kayak.

Hi there and thanks for viewing my auction. Injury forces the sale of my lovely Valley Nordkapp Classic sea kayak. NOTE: this is the ORIGINAL Nordkapp, as used on the expedition, not the version later produced with a moulded skeg. This boat has the ocean cockpit and no skeg of any description. Over the years the boat has had numerous modifications.

There is now a bulkhead behind the seat and a 10" hatch on the afterdeck, bilge pump has been partially fitted but as yet doesn't work, hence the included hand pump (as seen in the photos). To assist in re-entry due to the small ocean cockpit I fitted cleats and a lifting point fixed to the afterdeck (reinforced). This allows two paddles with paddle floats (not included) to be lashed to the afterdeck to form outriggers to allow a self-rescue. The deck lines and bungees are nearly new. The boat has some buoyancy foam in bow and stern and under the seat too, for improved safety.

Included are two spraydecks, One for skinny minis, and one for chunky dunkers. Also included is the chinagraph pencil on a lanyard. This is a very long (18'), large volume kayak and isn't really suitable for novice paddlers but for those with some experience and who have a decent roll, it is extremely fast and handles extremely rough water with aplomb. The boat will need to be collected from YO12 (Scarborough) though I can assist with car-topping or loading if required. Payment via PayPal please.
