Built by Valley Canoe of Nottingham England the company of the legendary Nordkapp If you need a boat for the coast of Maine or the big water part of Lake Champlain this is it. Expedition ready. We bought her in 1990 and used her for many years on Lake Champlain used mostly by my wife This model has a retractable rudder. Waterproof hatches fore and aft (hatch covers replaced in 2015) and of course the Nordkapp pump to pump out your cockpit and your friends All deck lines in good condition This is a fibreglas layup. I recently purchased a selkie kayak, but some previous owner removed the rudder. Can you explain to me how the rudder on your boat works. Are there interior foot peddles, or is it controlled by hand? I have pictures I can send once I have your email to better explain my confusion.
