Square-Stern Canoe/scanoe With Stabilising Pontoons And 2 Paddles

This is a square-stern Kingfisher canoe or scanoe perfect for river and lake fishing with a small outboard or electric motor. The canoe comes with two paddles and I have added pontoons to increase its stability so you can confidently stand to cast lures or flies. The canoe is in good used condition and has the expected scratches and scrapes that come with use. The paddles are in very good condition. The marine ply engine mounting board is showing signs of age and use but is still quite serviceable.

Replacing it is straightforward, should you want to add a new one. I have lost a couple of screws over the journey and have replaced them with stainless steel bolts. You'll see them in the pictures. The rod holders have no tubes. I removed them to hold the pontoons but replacing them would be as simple as buying a couple of rod holders and attaching.

I cart the canoe around on top of the station wagon and can load and unload it on my own but it would be a hell of a lot easier with two. The canoe is quite wide, which gives it great stability, but that width can also make it awkward to load on your own, but it's certainly not impossible. The stabilising pontoons are pool noodles threaded over PVC pipe, with everything glued together. It's quite straightforward and would be easy to replace if necessary. I plan to upgrade to a tinny and have no further use for the canoe.
