Skin-On-Frame Kayak, 15' 6" Hand Made Cedar And Bamboo Stellar Sea Kayak

Hand made skin-on-frame kayak. Built January 2015 at a Seawolf workshop in Santa Cruz, CA. The frame is constructed of cedar & bamboo and it is skinned with ballistic nylon and coated with a flexible polyester resin. It has both traditional leather lashing and heavy duty bungees for more secure deck storage. The coating was scuffed and delaminated on the bottom during a 150' mile trip down the Missouri River in 2016.

It never actually leaked even after the coating delaminated, but just to be safe I recoated with the affected spot with a product recommended by Seawolf. There have been no issues since the repair. The frame is in great shape. The black rectangles on the rear deck are velcro to mount a camera. This boat has taken me down the Colorado River, The Flathead River in Montana, the Missouri River in Montana, hundreds of miles along the pacific coast in California, and dozens more miles in various lakes and reservoirs in Southern California.

It has easily adjustable foot rests and an adjustable back rest. It's easily capable of carrying me ( 6'-1", 210 lbs) and two weeks of food and camping gear (150 lbs), almost all of it stowed inside. Custom made neoprene thigh braces are held in place with velcro and can be easily replaced or modified to fit you perfectly. Weighs around 30 lbs with as shown in the pics. It's a really awesome little boat and I hate to part with it, but we've downsized and just don't have the space for it any longer, and we're a long way from the water now.
