North Shore Aspect LV Sea Kayak Overview:The North Shore Aspect follows the classic lines of a British sea kayak and is the smaller sibling to the legendary North Shore Atlantic. Performance:The shorter length (14' 3") makes it easier to turn and manoeuvre than traditionally longer sea kayaks. This makes it a great boat for both beginners and more advance paddlers, who can use those same properties in the rough stuff. It fills a gap between touring and expedition kayaks, perfect for both ocean play and overnight trips. The hull design is fast, tracks well and has excellent primary and secondary stability.

Paddler Suitability:I bought this boat for my daughter, who had just started paddling, as it was easy for her handle and increased confidence. I intended to use it myself in moving water and rock-hopping but being the LV (low volume) variant, the foot pegs were a fraction too close for me, even on the furthest setting (I am 80 kg, 6' tall with a 33" inside leg). Otherwise it's one of the most comfortable boats I've paddled and should suit most people. The recommended paddler weight is from 54-92kgs, making it especially good for juniors or those with a smaller frame. The low volume also makes it a joy to roll.

Condition:The boat was bought new last summer and only used half a dozen times (we're selling having upgraded to the slightly larger P&H Delphin). The hull has a few superficial scratches from being pulled up on the beach but is otherwise in excellent condition. The rest of the boat is essentially as new. So at £300 off the retail price - a bit of a bargain, especially as you would be hard pressed to get your hands on one in the UK just now! Inspection or collection from Battersea, London.
