Malibu Kayaks Mini X Yellow - ready to paddle set. One of my three kayaks I'm sadly selling. If you have done your research into the Malibu Kayaks Mini X you will know that these are brilliant kayaks matching stability with straight-line speed and tracking. It’s possible to achieve 3-4 mph with a steady paddle rhythm. Their design and choice of hard wearing materials are so much better than their competitors.

These rarely come up on classifieds board and are simply brilliant little kayaks. These are made by Malibu Kayaks not Ocean Kayaks, the maker of the Malibu 2. The quality of the moulding, colour and materials are absolutely superb and are built to last. The Mini X is approximately 9 feet long and is easily car-toppable. If you have two (I’m selling two) then they stack snugly and can be secured with webbing straps.

This complete set will get you on the water quickly with minimal fuss. Fantastic fun and great for fitness and core strength. The kayak is a solo kayak but my kids have used it two and three up when in the sea off the south coast. It is great for surf kayaking too. It’s great for use on rivers, canals, lakes and of course the sea.

This kayak is also fitted with rod holders to allow you to use this as a fishing kayak. Easily car-topped, it can be easily managed by one person and once launched you can be away from the crowds and be fishing all day long. Some people also use this as a diving platform. Its stability is a real plus and the stern has an area for a SCUBA tank. If you just want a brilliant kayak which will give you loads of fun then this is the one for you.

The two water tight hatches are brilliant. These allow copious amounts of equipment to be stowed in drybags in the hull allowing a nice low centre of gravity. The larger hatch has an insert which can be removed to allow even more equipment in dry bags to be loaded into the hull. The smaller hatch has a removable bucket for storage. This ready-made set comes with; *One luxury high back padded seats.

These are a real plus and are so much better that the back-only restraints. *One quality PFD Personal Flotation Device – adult size. *One blue bladed paddle with aluminium shaft. *One Pelicase dry box (will be blue or yellow) for keeping your valuables safe and sound. This ‘O’ ring fited box will keep your wallet, keys and phones safe and sound from splashes or a dip.

My Mini X is in great condition with the normal scuffs and scratches that you’d expect on the underside. These in no way affect the integrity of water-proofness of the kayak.
