Klepper Aerius 2 Folding Kayak, Skin Only Please read this carefully. Up for auction is the skin only for a Klepper Aerius 2 17’ person folding kayak, no frame is included. This skin is very used, but is still useful for someone without one. The deck has 15 patches with a denim like material. The rubber hull has eight 1” diameter patches, at least one hole that needs a patch, several areas were the rubber is worn or cracking and seeps water, and some of the strips are coming loose.

The flotation tubes were cut out and some black replacement tubes substituted. I didn’t try these tubes so assume they don’t work. This skin fits very tightly on my frame – I don’t know if that is from using a newer frame and an older hull or if it is something with this skin. I bought this for some frame parts. I have seen frames on E-Bay for $300 - $400.

A new complete boat would cost over $3000 versus $500 or $600 for assembling your own used one. Includes repair materials. There are 8"x13" and 5"x4" pieces of blue deck and 13"x5", 10"x6", and 56"x3" of gray hull. This has the older gray “elephant skin” hull and blue deck. I do not know the age of the skin.
