Klepper Aerius 1 Expedition Folding Sea Kayak

The KLEPPER 1 Aerius Expedition 15 foot folding kayak is an incredibly sea worthy boat with a long history of expeditions and rugged adventures. Light and compact, the Aerius Expedition stows in two bags, can be taken anywhere in the world, and assembles in minutes for sea kayaking, river/lake paddling, touring or cruising, and sailing. This KLEPPER has seen very little use and only in fresh water. It has been in storage for more than 13 years. Frame, hull, and bladders are in excellent condition.

Two spray skirts, one a new, never used KLEPPER AEI Expedition skirt with zippered apron and mast sleeve ($400 value) , a never used rudder, storage bags, and two flotation bags are included.This KLEPPER is in excellent condition overall. The hypalon rubber hull and red cloth top, stitching, and gluing have not shown deterioration. All wood frame pieces are in like new condition. The air bladder surgical tubing hoses you blow into to inflate the side air bladders have yellowed over time but are still intact.The kayak will come with assembly instructions. If you have never assembled a KLEPPER, they can be a little tricky the first few times with getting aluminum connectors to line up as you assemble hull parts and sliding the 2 main wood frame hull assemblies into the skin and locking in the final internal wood braces.

One has to learn to be forceful without putting too much pressure on wood parts. Once learned, it is an easy and fast assembly.The kayak is available for free local pickup.
