Kayaks Pouch RZ85

Amazing opportunity to own an ultra rare kayak. Very seaworthy German folding double kayak. Has completed two kayak tours off Vancouver Island this summer with no issues throughout. Single cockpit with spraydeck. Ash and birch wooden frame construction.

Thick and very robust ("elephant skin") grey PVC hull and blue cotton upper. Skin and hull in good shape, flexible. Superficial scratches covered with aquaseal. Boat was built ca. 1970 (after that quality of frame and robustness of skin declined).

Frame is in good shape, small areas have been repaired (e.g. Bolts replaced etc.). Can be built up and ready to take off! Building takes about 45-50min. Craftsmanship is not quite on level with the other German folding, the Klepper - but the Pouch paddles faster and more lively.

Google Ralph Diaz's review of it in "A complete folding kayaker". I believe these boats were or are also sold in North America under the name Pouch/ Puch Eureka 2. Comes with bow and stern inflatable air bags, however. There are extensive amounts of spare parts available in Germany, and I can point you to supply addresses or help with shipping, should you need it in the future. The manufacturer is still in existence and they also do repairs or skin refits.

(The skin won't need a refit for a long time, though). Come with the paddle in the pictures & two canvas bags, one for the frame, the other for the skin. Note: one rib has been damaged, see the last pic. This happened on the last dissassembly. It should be an easy fix, if not a replacement can be purchased online.
