K1 Jaguar. Veneer laminate wood construction, built in the mid 70's by the Spanish company by 'Cubbta'. Lightweight at just 9.5kg which makes it very competitive with modern composites. The kayak was professionaly re-varnished last summer and all small wooden repairs were previously undertaken by Mark Giddings at Gees of Teddington: http://gees-england.co.uk/history-of-gees/ The stability of the Jaguar is 3/4 and the Jaguar design is a well known proven racing design of many years standing.
