Use with Itiwit double-action hand pump and adapters. INFLATION TIPS AND FLOOR POSITIONING To connect the Itiwit pump (sold separately), twist the pump adapter a quarter turn. Inflate the floor to 5 psi.
Screw on the cap. Place the floor inside the kayak. Strap down the ends. Align the floor valve with the air chamber valves at the back of the kayak. Position the floor to allow free access to the drain plugs in the middle of the kayak.
INFLATION TIPS To connect the Itiwit pump (sold separately), twist the pump adapter a quarter turn. Inflate the floor to 3 psi. Screw on the cap. Each air chamber has a pressure relief valve for evacuating excess air due to overinflation. When this happens, you may notice a hissing sound.
Hissing is normal and can occur during inflation or after prolonged sun exposure. It will stop once the pressure has been corrected. SEAT COMFORT AND POSITIONING The high seats provide increased comfort when paddling. Position the seats on the floor using the rip-tabs under the seat and on the floor. Stow any bags or equipment in the kayak’s rear hatch or attach to the rear deck.
Your kayak is ready for launch! GLIDE PERFORMANCE The dropstitch floor provides rigidity. Dropstitch material consists of 2 layers of PVC connected by thousands of polyester threads. When inflated to high pressure, these threads become taut, preventing the kayak from losing its shape. This is what makes our inflatable kayak extremely rigid but easy to stow in a wheeled bag once deflated.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS Remove the seats and slightly deflate the floor for easier rinsing. Rinse the kayak, floor, and seats with clean water after use to avoid damage from sand, salt water, and sun. Open the drain plugs located at the centre and rear of the kayak. Tip the kayak to empty out the water. DISASSEMBLY/FOLDING Always fold the kayak on a clean surface.
Remove the fins. Deflate the air chambers. Valves are located at the back of the kayak. Please note: Do not unscrew the pressure relief valves at the front. Fold the floor.
Fold the rest of the kayak in half lengthwise. Flatten the front fin base. Lay the rolled floor on the front end. Roll the kayak toward the rear. Strap the kayak.
STORAGE Clean and dry your kayak before storing in a dry, shady place that’s protected from significant temperature changes. The kayak can be stored folded, but storing flat and slightly inflated will extend its life.
