Fishing Kayak

Selling a Viking Profish 45 fishing Kayak In used condition - has scratches from launching, loading/unloading, oyster beds etc but only superficial. Has not been used in surf - only estuaries. Has never had a sounder installed, neither a motor. Has the clips to potentially install a rudder but a rudder has never been installed on it either. Has some corrosion on a couple of components (from being exposed to saltwater) - seat clips have corrosion but are perfectly functional.

Shock cord in back compartment could do with replacing due to reduced elasticity after years of exposure to sun/salt water. Kayak handles (front and back) can do with replacing but I currently have a makeshift handle in the front using a strap. From memory I think the last replacement handle I purchased was $10 from Viking 3 or 4 years ago. Kayak has been well looked after and stored in a garage when not in use. Reason for selling - have used it twice in the last couple of years.

Maybe a younger person than me can put it to good use. Was $1600 rrp when new. (2008) This kayak is the original model and is almost 10 years old. I'm not sure if the newer Profish 45 models have different dimensions to the original. Have included some extras including medium and large life jackets, an esky with rod holders screwed into them, a plastic crate to hold gear in the back compartment, anchor and rope.

(see photo) and a wetsuit cord to keep the paddle attached to the kayak but still allowing you to paddle without restrictions. A seat cushion has been added to the original seat (which is awesome!) and a hand-made trolley is included also (you can see the trolley in the last picture where the kayak is stored on the wall). A Cannon rod holder is included and has been installed on the Kayak near the left knee location. This can be taken out of the mount at any time so it doesn't interfere with the transportation of the kayak.
