Fiberglass Kayak - Pickup Wollongong Area

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is an excellent old fiberglass kayak that I restored about 12 months ago. I fully repaired and sealed it with fiberglass resin. I then re-sprayed both top and bottom. I also replaced the inspection port plates front and back as seen in the photos. These plates are very tight and I haven’t ever had the need to open them as they are not storage compartments.

The paint job is a bit patchy but this adds to its character. The last photo shows a bit of a scrape on the underside which is only cosmetic and just needs some white epoxy enamel paint to cover it. I will throw in a spare tin of blue spray paint that I have for any future scrapes to the top. This kayak is the fastest of my three kayaks I own due to its 4.65 meter length. Cockpit measures approx 70cm long by 40cm wide.

Unfortunately I don’t use it often enough so it now has to go. Lets just say I spent more money restoring this kayak in inspection port plates, fiberglass resin and paints than the starting price I am asking. My loss is your gain.
