Boat Type: Kayak
Seating: Single
Here we have my Feelfree 12ft Windermere Kayak, in very nice condition and having been used no more than about 5 times. She is of the 'Sit-In' variety. The Kayak also comes with a genuine Feelfree Splash Cover, specifically made for this Kayak, and alone cost £50. Also included are a Feelfree Paddle (£35), with an aluminium shaft and plastic blades and a YAK Kallista 50N Buoyancy Aid (£35). It is a size XL and is in very good, undamaged condition.
The Kayak itself (£500) is undamaged, except for the usual light scratching and marks as you would expect from a used Kayak. The seat is surprisingly comfortable and features an adjustable back rest. The footrests inside the boat (see picture) are also adjustable. There is a handy waterproof and removable box fitted to the rear of the Kayak by bungee cords, great for storing waterproofs, mooring line, sandwiches, drinks etc. There are carry handles at the stern and bow.
The splash guard is a must, as far as I'm concerned and stops the usual problem of water running down the paddle and into the craft. Also included but not shown (I forgot) is a two wheeled aluminium trolley, which greatly eases moving the Kayak about on your own. I've had enjoyable experiences paddling this Kayak on Wastwater, Haverigg Harbour and the Lancaster Canal, but now selling due to a change of circumstances/new life. She is surprisingly easy to paddle and very stable. She is also refreshingly wider than some Kayaks (29") and therefore less likely to capsize.
I'm 6'1" and fit inside very easily, with room to spare. For more details, take a look at the manufacturers website http://www.feelfree-uk.com/touring-kayaks/windermere.htm I'm based near Bootle, Cumbria, about 20 miles south of Whitehaven and 30 miles north of Barrow-In-Furness. The Kayak is for your collection only and is 12ft long. Please view my excellent sellers feedback and buy with confidence.
