Feathercraft. K2. Expedition Double Kayak

I have decided to sell my Feathercraft K2 Tandem folding kayak. I have had this kayak for 20 years but not used it for maybe 10 years now due to spending much of the last 10 years abroad and I also have 2 other folding kayaks. While I have been away it has been carefully stored in a dry room. Kayaks like this very rarely crop up for sale these days Feathercraft kayaks are widely thought of as the Rolls Royce of folding kayaks. The company stopped making kayaks 2016 due to the rising costs of what they produced.

The K2 was selling for $7.500 at this time. It was always considered to be the best full on expedition kayak which you could throw in the hold of an aircraft and fly anywhere in the world with it and it would take whatever you threw at it without any problems. If your struggling for storage space its a great kayak to own as it can be stored in a relatively small space. Mine spent most of its life living inside my wardrobe. Easy to transport on public transport or in the boot of a car.

It takes about 30 minutes to put it all together once you know what your doing. As you can see it has some signs of wear showing on the outside of its skin. The upper deck has some bleaching showing and the keel has some small scrapes but it is watertight. I have blown up the 2 sponsons today ( Used to help with buoyancy) and they are both fine. The kayak comes with 2 Feathercraft spray skirts, both its seats and all its fiberglass combing covers.

It also has its rudder and all the stainless steel operating lines in place as well as the hole in the hull allowing you to fit a sail if you would like to If your worried about getting bits for this kayak its not a problem. Feathercraft still supply spares and another company in Poland that still makes folding kayaks will make a new skin for any of the older Feathercraft kayaks. Just ship your skin to them and they will make a copy of it. That little problem is still years way though if you look after it I would prefer collection so I can run through setting it up if you would like me to. Postage would be expensive due to its weight which is 39.5 Kg I would like cash on collection please I'm happy to answer any questions, also do a google search for this model and see what the world thinks about the Feathercraft K2
