It holds the air just fine so i didn't do any real fixing(keep an eye on it). These two kayaks I'm selling are used and clean.I never put them away wet so there is no mold or smell.They are in very good condition as I take good care of my equipment.These kayaks were always used together so the wear is same.The shelf shows signs of use, spray skirt area seems to be dirty in spots and that is from sunscreen.The kayaks have never been in salt water.What I also like about these kayaks is the fact that any repair needed is easily accesible unlike my father's advanced element brand kayak. The kayaks have 3 main valves, attached spray skirt and great storage compartment in the back of the kayak.You will have many options with the on board spray skirt.You can have it open at summer.closed at fall.You pretty well protected from faulty weather in it.Obviously the kayak is not as stable as a hard shell kayak but I got used to it and never cared about it.The reason why we selling these is that we got the kayaks when it was just me and my girlfriend.
