Due to injury, I'm selling my... Green Valley Boat Works-John Winters designed plan-Caspian Sea, 15' Cedar Strip KAYAK. This is a exceptional boat with great handling, light weight, stability and speed. I purchased this from the original owner and builder (Local NE Ohio Craftsman Jim Kozel). I'm the second owner and unfortunately have not been able to use this wonderful boat. Condition is excellent with nice fit and finish.

The Caspian Sea is targeted to paddlers who want excellent tracking and control, but do not want to invest in the complication and expense of a rudder. Slightly hard bilged, the Caspian Sea has high initial stability yet is extremely docile in lumpy conditions.

Departing from the trend towards boats that are steered with heel, the Caspian is helm neutral when heeled beyond 10 degrees. This means that paddlers will not be surprised by unanticipated turns when their balance wavers.
