Antique Klepper Passat Folding Sailboat / Row Boat

This is an antique Klepper Passat canvas sailboat. It has a set of oars and can also be used as a rowboat with the mast and rig up or down. This German built boat is designed to break down and fit into five cargo bags. Setup takes about an hour. Unlike most portable packable boats, the Klepper handles and sails very well.

The hull is a wood skeleton with the canvas stretched over it. Inflatable tubes built in the canvas stiffen the hull once constructed and make it rigid. It makes a great 2 person row boat, or put up the mast, add the rudder and dagger board and go sailing. It sails faster and points higher than most sailboats of this size. One of the stern keel pegs is broken, but this does not affect the construction or stability of the vessel.

The canvas does need new adhesive in a couple of places. Some of the frame bumpers are broken. Again this does not affect construction or performance. Some replacement bumpers are included with the boat.Shipping - willing to work with buyer to ship anywhere in the United States and some international locations.
