(new) Personal Comment: I am a bigger bloke, and while it is awesome as an expedition kayak, I also used her as a recreational kayak, and comfortably matched, in speed, comfort and manoeuvrability smaller supposedly more purpose built kayaks.
She even behaves very well in the surf, tracks beautifully, rolls like a slalom kayak and with the hard chine. Provides excellent primary and secondary stability. Gotta be honest. I would love it if she tracked a little better paddling crosswind with no rudder. She pulls into the wind very quickly.
Though with the rudder down, she requires little or no corrective steering in all but ther most benign conditions she likes the rudder down.
