15' Solo Canoe/kayak Carbon Fiber/kevlar, Bell Canoe's Black Gold "rob Roy"

This is the legendary Bell Canoe Works "Rob Roy" solo decked canoe. It is the big version--15 feet long. It is the Black Gold carbon fiber and kevlar model. Designed by David Yost. Paddles like a dream.

The open cockpit accepts standard packs and allows canoe-style portage. Rob Roy provides the best of both worlds.While in the retailer's rack outside their building in Minneapolis, another canoe on top of a pickup in the parking lot, collided with the Rob Roy. The Rob Roy was repaired by Bell Canoe Works and they did a wonderful job. The seams are perfectly smooth but because it is made of carbon fiber, one can see where the canoe was repaired. Doesn't show up much in pictures and is rarely noticed by others.
