Necky Manitou 14 Kayak - blue. About these boats generally - I bought this boat off a guy who did the length of the Thames in this boat. That was about 5 years ago, since when I have paddled it extensively in and around the Solent, including trips to the Isle of Wight. In my opinion, they are the perfect balance of speed and stability, with a perfect upswept bow. I like them so much I have just bought another, slightly newer one - hence the sale of this one.

About this boat in particular - it has been around ! The hull is well scratched but sound. All the deck gear is okay but starting to show its age. The hatch cover neoprene gaskets have little life left in them - so the water tightness of the compartments is in doubt. (See photos - this aspect of the boat could be improved by the addition of airbags/replacement gaskets).

Bulkheads are good - so too the seat is good and very comfortable. Skeg works well and does a good job when needed. The sale includes a good Feel Free 2 piece paddle and a scruffy but useable spray deck.This auction will run its course - no BIN. Collection from near Reading, with cash or paypal.
