Necky Looksha Iv 17' Sea Kayak

This is a very fast-moving, easy-to-paddle sea kayak, stable enough for a beginner, yet it has the performance an advanced paddler would appreciate. Some kayaks have rounded hulls, which makes them tippy at first, but easy to maneuver and stable when rolled on their edge. Others have a flat bottom, making them very stable at first, but difficult to maneuver and suddenly unstable when rolled on their edge. Necky has chosen a real nice compromise in this boat. It is referred to as a "double chine hull" and it makes for a great all-around paddling experience.The boat was built in 1996, and I am the second owner.

I purchased it in 2009 from a gentleman who only used it on Lake Michigan. He kept it in a boat house right on the lake. I have always kept the kayak in the garage, and I have only paddled it in the deeper sections rivers, and lakes (in other words, no rocky bottoms). As a result, the hull is in great condition, as is the rest of the boat. I have replaced the hatch-cover straps/buckles, rudder line, and deck rigging.
