I'm selling my Slayer 13 propel from Native Watercraft. Ranked highest in OutdoorLife magazine's May 2017 article "The Power 'Yak Review," the Slayer Propel 13 is one Lean, Mean, Hands Free Kayak Fishing Machine. This is an very sturdy pedal driven kayak I've used for a few years now fishing on Lake Michigan for salmon and of course inland lakes as well and is in excellent shape. I've had this hands free kayak in all types of waves and weather and it has handled exceptionally well. You will be purchasing a near fully rigged kayak!
I have my kayak wired up with Red and Green LED navigation lights operated by switches. I also have LED lighting under the seat. I have a two prong post in the back for a white light as well. All of which is wired up with marine grade wiring for a 12V battery source. I will include two extra props, extra rudder cover, extra set of upper gears for the propel drive and grease for the pedal drive and two Scotty powerlock rod holders.
DOES NOT INCLUDE: white navigation light or sonar unit.SO, HOW FAST DOES IT GO? With relaxed pedaling you can cover 3.5-4 miles per hour all day, and can push to 5. Miles per hour. The low profile performs great in the wind, especially when under power and has easy-to-use left hand rudder control. The most versatile pedal-driven fishing kayak on the market.
The drive unit is designed for 12"-18" minimum depth depending on load. There are two plastic tabs that broke on the seat for two side straps. I just tied them onto the seat, but could be easily replaced if need be. The lakes maybe frozen, but spring is not far off! This kayak will be ready to launch and fish out of the day you buy it!
