Fast Hobie Adventure 16 Kayak - Mirage Drive System,outfitted For Fishing

I’m selling my Mirage Adventure 16 kayak with Mirage Drive,rudder system, seat, paddle and Hobie cart for transporting. The boat has been custom outfitted for fishing including added cleats, added compass, stem to stern anchor trolley system, two optional Hobie pole holders, two custom installed pole holders, plus two more holders on an outfitted crate that ties in place behind the seat. I will include a set of Hobie Sidekicks (outriggers that I think were made to allow fishing from a standing position). I never used them. The boat is very stable.Hobie renamed the Adventure 16 the Revolution 16 in about 2014 but the hulls are identical.

They were probably trying to avoid confusion with the Adventure Island, a trimaran sailboat built around an Adventure hull. It's a big, fast kayak, ideal for fishing potentially rough water and for traversing long distances like the big reservoirs or the Chesapeake Bay. I used it mostly in the Bay and tributaries, but at 75 years old I've decided to put that behind me. In the years I used it only one other kayak could keep up with the sleek hull and the Mirage System and that was a racing yak paddled by a guy 25 years my junior. It's fast.The boat is in very good condition with only a few minor scratches.

It's always be stored under cover and I've kept UV protective wax on the hull. The hull still shines and sheds water like a duck’s back.
