Pakboats Quest 150 Folding Kayak. I purchased this kayak new in July 2020. It includes the kayak and everything included with it when I originally purchased it - carry bag, repair kit, instruction dvd, and air pump to inflate the sponsons. It also includes some extras - spray skirt and a pair of foot pegs. It does not include any paddles.
If purchased new from pakboats.com today, these items would cost $1734 + shipping = [$1540 (kayak) + $104 (spray skirt) + $90 (foot pegs)]. It is in fairly good condition. The hull is in great condition - no holes, cuts, etc. I have only used it in lakes and never dragged it along the shoreline, never hit any obstacles such as rocks, stumps, etc. There is a hole in the netting where the seat is attached, I believe this was caused by rubbing between the back of the seat and the netting.
In one of the photos, if you zoom in, you can see where the hole in the netting is directly behind the back of the seat. In the front of the kayak on top, there are a few spots where some of the rubber coating had been worn where the skin goes over the frame, as shown in the pictures - I think this was caused when I transported the kayak on the top of my car's roof rack. In the front of the kayak, where the gunwale rods connect to the frame, there is some places that are worn where the rods connect. I believe this was caused by me having difficulty putting the frame rod sections together when I first put the kayak frame together. I think it is a great kayak.
I used to own a Feathercraft Big Kahuna kayak which is similar in design but I actually prefer this kayak and it is still being produced. This is a used folding kayak in fairly good condition and I have accurately described in detail its current condition and its flaws. A folding kayak requires routine maintenance and care and when used often there is a good chance that future repairs will be needed so if that is a concern, a different type of kayak may be a better choice. Also, it is recommended that one try a particular make/model of kayak to see if it is a good fit for that person before purchasing. There are no returns.
I just want to warn potential buyers that if they bought this kayak and did not like it, it cannot be returned, the buyer would have to sell it to someone else. https://www.pakboats.com/folding-kayaks/
