I'm really going to miss this Kayak, but I just haven't had time to go paddling in quite some time. This is a 2011 model Folbot Yukon, with the full expedition package. It was made right at the peak of options and features for this model. It has the later aluminum cross frames, and the highly desirable hypalon hull. The expedition package added the extra hold-down lines on the deck, removable and retractable rudder, plus the spray skirt, and wilderness repair kit.
I'm also including a Werner Camano paddle, with fiberglass blades and carbon shaft. Even has the original 'Folbot' paddle, though the Werner is much nicer performing. Seat is the standard model, not the air-foam version. This is a GREAT open water kayak. Rides very smoothly in rough water, not as harsh as a hard-shell, due to the nature of a skin-on-frame kayak.
Extremely stable and very dry despite the large cockpit opening. These were quite popular for kayak camping due to the ability to hold large amounts of cargo. In all, this package cost me around $2,500 when new. Everything here is high-end and extremely well made, a striking difference compared to the cheap molded plastic kayaks. For those not familiar with a Folbot kayak, the unique design has an aluminum frame with a hypalon rubber-like hull and nylon deck.
Hypalon is the same stuff used to make real white water rafts, due to its durability. This is a US made item, from South Carolina, and no longer available new. Folbot closed their doors in 2016 after over 80 years of operation. These unique kayaks will be harder and harder to find at any price. There are no punctures, or major scrapes, on the hull.
Only a few stains from a clay beach I used to launch it from. The only thing missing is the roll of velcro used to attach the spray skirt, but that's a generic piece that is readily available. I never used the spray skirt so the velcro never got installed. Original manual isn't pictured but it will be included. Shipping will be via UPS Ground, and will be two large boxes, about 50 pounds total between the two.
This makes shipping a bit spendy unfortunately, but local pickup can be arranged, or I'm also ok with a buyer doing their own shipping arrangements as well. Sorry, US buyers only on this one. Too bulky to ship overseas at a reasonable price.
