Vintage Folbot tandem kayak, some folks used these for expeditions. It is long and fairly heavy, will take 2 people to get it on and off a car and in and out of the water gracefully. Well used, well maintained, needs some TLC periodically. ( The skin is hypalon, and gets patched and sealed like a hypalon raft, with fabric and glue.) Includes the rudder system, a sailing kit in good shape, with spreader, mast, sail, twin dagger boards, two seat cushions, and one sea kayak paddle. The sailing kit is in it's original duffel.
I do not have the duffel for the boat overall. Sold "set-up", and you should plan on picking it up. In answer to previous questions:Age- unknown for sure, but it has the design and materials of a Folbot made in the '60's thru the '70's. ( all wooden frame) Yes, you do need the rudder to effectively steer the boat, it is a V-type sea kayak hull, designed to mostly go straight.I have gotten quite a few inquiries as to whether I would sell the very desirable sailing kit separately, and the answer is maybe. I'd prefer to see the whole boat and accessories together, but a real good offer on the sailing kit might sway me.
Located in Victor, Idaho. Plan on picking it up.
