Folbot Greenland Ii Skin

This skin comes from a 90's model Folbot Greenland 2. The kayak has been in operation until last year and the skin has done very well during that time. Last summer I left the freshly washed wet skin to dry off frame in the hot summer sun. The skin shrank and became too tight to fit on the frame. My understanding is that the shrinking applies primarily or exclusively to the polyester deck.

The Hypalon hull itself is unlikely to shrink. I've parted out the G2 frame and the skin is now available for sale separately. You can use it by either shortening the frame a bit. You may also be able to restore the skin to its original size by stretching it after prolonged immersion in water. Or your frame may be slightly shorter than mine was and the skin would fit in its current form.

I simply do not have time to experiment and am selling the skin as-is. Except for the above-mentioned shrinkage the skin is in very good condition. There is fading of the deck from being stored outside, however, the hull is in excellent shape. There are zero patches. Any scratches are extremely minor.

Both zippers work great. This is the Expedition version of the boat, so the skin has aluminum keel plates. Both the bow and stern ends also have aluminum end caps. The stern cap is rudder-compatible. Ignore the shiny black marks on the hull in the photos.
