Folbot. Greenland Ii Foldable Kayak

This kayak is a Greenland II Folbot and is a foldable kayak that comes packaged to two large canvas bags. It can be carried in a car and assembled at the destination. It weighs about 75 lbs & 17 feet long. The boat is more than likely 15 years old or more but it is one of their modern construction systems with aluminum tubing and durable plastic cross structures. The skin is a very heavy rubberized composition and very durable.

The boat has 2 inflatable flotation devices on the sides that are manually filled. It comes with two paddles, a foot controlled rudder system, and a canvas cover made by Folbot. The boat has no damage or cracks but the colors have faded some with time. It is in very sound condition and has no repairs. It is 17 feet long and can be transported while assembled.

We have used the kayak for about 9 years and have taken it down portions of the Yellowstone (fairly high water), the Potomac in DC, the Atlantic in Maine and in Cape Breton at Meat Harbor, not to mention numerous outings in Lake Michigan and Superior. It is stable, fairly easy to enter and exit. I will say that it was made for someone less than, say, 6'2". I am 6'3" 210 lbs and it is a touch small for me. It is more for open lakes than rivers but has multiple applications.

It is one hell of a fine craft and served us well. I can no longer get in and out of it comfortably. The price is has been dropped to $750 but it well could come down to best offer. Thanks for the interest. Questions welcomed.
