Folbot Aleut - Excellent Condition - Many Extras - Local Pickup Only

This is a FOLBOT ALEUT in very excellent condition. Is has been lightly used, usually in coastal Maine waters. The hull and deck are in perfect condition...just a few scrapes showing on the hull. This kayak is very sturdy. A synthetic rubber material called Elvaloy is tough like a rhino's hide and protects the hull of the kayak Urethane-coated polyester protects the decks; outer materials on the Aleut resist UV light and are designed to take a beating without puncturing Frame is just as sturdy as its skin, with stainless-steel keel brackets and aircraft-grade tubing Inflatable chambers called sponsons run the full length of the boat to increase tension and lock frame pieces into place; sponsons also flare out the hull to enhance stability.

There are several extras included:+ I've replaced the gunwales with the newer improved Aluminum models ... not only adds additional strength...but look much nicer as well. The original gunwales are still fine and are included as well.+ The two piece cockpit spray skirt is included. As I kayaked on pretty benign waters, I don't believe I've ever had to use this.+ A full fitted cover is included. It is made of the same super rugged material as the deck.+ A spare inflation bladder is also included... Unlikely you will ever need.+ A repair kit for both the hull and the deck...also unlikely to be needed.+ Two floatation bladders to place in the bow and stern...just some extra protection.+ Two extra Folbot storage bags. You'll have options of how to store or transport the kayak.+ Of course...a paddle...the Folbot original.+ Original instruction sheet.+++ There is one repair I made.

The center "B" cross brace developed a crack and was repaired using two steel mending plates...super secure...probably stronger than original...see last picture. +++ SORRY...LOCAL PICKUP ONLY +++
