I bought this second hand from a club member for my son who has decided that kayaking is not for him 😟. I did lots of research into the best boat for him to learn but also to ‘grow’ into, lasting him a while as his skills developed. However, it was little used by the previous owner and only a handful of times by us. It’s in excellent condition with only a few minor scuffs on the bottom As such, according to Playak.com, the Infrared is designed as an all-purpose, performance kayak for children and smaller paddlers up to 70 kg.The Infrared is great for most types of paddling in surf, on flat and white water. It's both easy to handle and forgiving, making it ideal as a first kayak for children or small adults on white water upto grade 3.

The Infrared is fitted with fixed buoyancy in the bow and stern, backrest, a drain plug, grab handles and adjustable foot pegs. The kayak has additional buoyancy bags (making a capsize rescue easier) and will come with the Colt paddle pictured. I may also include a Yak buoyancy aid, depending on the size of the paddler (its for up to 40kg).
