Dagger Blackwater 10.5 Kayak

The Dagger Blackwater 10.5 is an all- rounder, recreational touring kayak that tracks well and is easy to paddle that is perfect for flat rivers and lakes as well as some coastal sea trips (I had great fun with it riding the waves on Rhossili Bay). The drop-down skeg is activated from the cockpit and keeps you going in a straight line with minimal corrective effort; retracting the skeg enhances manoeuvrability. It is a very stable kayak that handles some rough water with its wide body and rudder, but not suitable for 'white water' or for anything too fast. This model doesn't have the optional rear hatch. The Kayak comes with a red 'Endless River' adjustable nylon spray decks that looks smart on the outside but there is some deterioration to the proofing on the inside - it will serve to get you on the water but I expect you will want to replace it soon (they are cheap to buy (£25-£30).

The cockpit is large (970mm x 520 to the outside rim, 920mm x 435mm inside) making getting in and out relatively painless and the seat is comfortable padded and adjustable. Adjustable foot rests provide a stabilising lock for whatever leg length you may be. Made from EXL Polyethylene. Minor scratches and scuffs mainly due to bottom scraping on shallow river beds, these are cosmetic only as there are no cuts, holes or repaired areas. Length 3230mm: width 660mm.
