Current Designs Fiberglass Expedition Sea Kayak

I bought this used about 3 years ago to use for an extended paddling trip in the San Juan Islands near Puget Sound. I've spent my summers hiking the Appalachian Trail instead. Now a transcontinental move necessitates a new home for this craft. This approximately 19' boat was allegedly designed as a fast, large capacity boat for professional guides who needed to keep up with customers in double kayaks on long unsupported trips. It was built at the turn of the century, so maybe 15 to 20 years old.

The hull has NO Cracks. Some scrapes on bottom where was passed over a green fence. Bulkheads are intact and waterproof. I replaced the rubber gaskets on the 2 hatch covers but straps are original. Previous owner left it exposed in sunlight for about 2 years, so this boat has not been in water for the last 5 years.

Neoprene seat cover is gone. Rudder and safety lines and some hardware need replacement. A few new D rings and buckles are included. Not much of a project to get an awesome boat that can glide through the waves and carry a heavy load. Adjustable foot peddle controlled rudder.

The British Columbia based builders of this boat were proud enough to sign their work inside the cockpit.
